Here are some of this month's highlights.

This spring a series of Environmental Humanities Talks is taking place at Yale University entitled “Conversations Between Sciences and Humanities.”  Speakers include Carl Safina, Robin Kimmerer, Scott Russell Sanders, Richard Norgaard, and Peter Raven.  See below for more details.

Mary Evelyn Tucker and John Grim are teaching four MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses) at Yale through the online platform, Coursera, featured as a specialization under the theme of "Journey of the Universe: A Story for Our Times." You may audit the courses free of charge and sign up at anytime. For more information, see below.

Mary Evelyn Tucker and John Grim are currently offering four six-week online courses featured as a specialization under the theme of "Journey of the Universe: A Story for Our Times." The courses (with the exception of the capstone) are free to audit and you can sign up at anytime. To register go to the Coursera site here.

Integral Ecology in the Peruvian Upper Amazon

Dr. Frederique Apffel-Marglin is leading a summer program entitled “Integral Ecology in the Peruvian Upper Amazon.” It will be held at the Sachamama Center for Biocultural Regeneration (SCBR) in Lamas, Department of San Martin, Peru on July 1 – August 11, 2017, with an optional forest retreat with focus on Amazonian medicinal plants on August 12-26, 2017. The next event in this Yale series of Environmental Humanities Talks is a book reading with the American nature writer Scott Russell Sanders, featuring his new book Dancing in Dreamtime. This event will take place at Yale Law School on  March 29, 2017. Previous speakers in the series have included Carl Safina and Robin Kimmerer. Learn more here.

Ghost Ranch in Abiquiu, NM will host a special workshop entitled “Journey of the Universe: An Epic Story for Our Shared Future” July 2-8, 2017. This event is 10th in a series on Earth-Honoring Faith: A Song of Songs.
The goal of the series is to construct justice-centered, Earth-Honoring Christianities that promote interfaith efforts on common earth issues. For more information visit our site here

Green Church Campaign of Church of South India (CSI)

The Green Church Campaign of Church of South India encourages parishes to incorporate ecological concerns in their order of worship and include both advocacy and direct action for eco-justice and the integrity of creation.
