ESP-WROOM-32 Achieves Product Certification in Six Major Markets

Great news for our ESP-WROOM-32 module! It has now passed all performance and quality assurance tests in six global markets. The European Union’s CE, the United States’ FCC, Canada’s IC, South Korea’s KC, Taiwan’s NCC, and China’s SRRC have approved of ESP-WROOM-32’s quality standards, which significantly increases our module’s marketability on an international scale. This comes on top of the Wi-Fi Alliance certification that ESP-WROOM-32 has already been awarded for conforming to this global organization’s interoperability standards. The latest certificate we earned from Wi-Fi Alliance was in January 2017 for the ESP32 Lyra Speaker, in the digital audio category.

New Kickstarter Project Built Around ESP8266

The ESP8266, developed by Espressif Systems, has attracted millions of fans globally, who have been incredibly creative and innovative when building projects around the chip. We now have one more on Kickstarter. The team, based in Shenzhen, China, is making the "world's first open-source R&D modular kit”, which is not only powerful and useful, but also beautiful.

ESP8266 is engineered for mobile devices, wearable electronics and IoT applications. Its power-saving architecture enables its low-power operation within the widest temperature range in the industry, from  -40°C to +125°C. ESP8266 is among the most integrated Wi-Fi chips on the market and, therefore, requires minimal external circuitry. What’s more, is that its small size (only 5 mm x 5 mm) enhances its flexibility even further. No wonder why, then, the Kickstarter team has included ESP8266 in their M5Stack Toolkit.
